Single Thread Per Beat
No parallel confusions — one idea at a time.
Say one thing at a time. When you run two ideas in parallel, neither lands fully. The brain can't track multiple unresolved threads — it picks one and drops the other. You don't get to choose which one it drops.
Why This Works
Working memory has hard limits. Research consistently shows that people can hold roughly 3-4 chunks of information in active processing. Every parallel thread you introduce competes for those slots. Two threads don't halve the impact — they can eliminate it entirely as the brain gives up trying to track both.
In Your Ads
Read each section of your ad in isolation. Does it introduce more than one new idea? If so, split it. The first beat is the problem. The next is the consequence. The next is the solution. Never "the problem and also the consequence." Serial, not parallel.
When This Breaks
Your hook tries to set up a pain point, introduce your brand, and tease the solution all at once. The viewer catches none of it clearly.
Example
Tangled: "Tired of wasting money on ads that don't convert while your competitors scale with AI-powered creative?" Clean: "You spent $14K on ads last month. $11K of it went to creatives that didn't convert."
