Feature Listing
Specs without meaning.
Your ad rattled off features like a spec sheet. Cloud-based. AI-powered. Real-time sync. Unlimited exports. The viewer heard a list of technical capabilities and felt nothing. Features don't create desire. Outcomes do.
Why This Works
Features are abstractions. The brain can't feel "real-time sync" — it can feel "never losing work again." Every feature is a compressed promise, and compressed promises don't land. You have to decompress each feature into the felt experience it creates.
In Your Ads
List every feature mentioned in your ad. Next to each one, write the human outcome it enables. If you can't articulate the outcome in one sentence, the feature doesn't belong in the ad. Lead with the outcome; mention the feature only if the viewer needs to understand HOW.
When This Breaks
Your ad reads like a product page: bullet after bullet of capabilities. The viewer understands what the product does but has no emotional reason to want it. Comprehension without desire is a dead end.
Example
"Features: AI-powered analytics, real-time dashboards, automated reporting, team collaboration." → "Your Monday morning report builds itself overnight. By the time you open your laptop, every metric your CEO asks about is already waiting."
