Premature Optimization
Details before desire is built.
Your ad jumped straight to the details — pricing tiers, integration specs, feature comparisons — before the viewer even wanted the thing. You optimized for a decision they haven't made yet. Details satisfy existing desire. They don't create it.
Why This Works
Desire operates on a sequence: awareness, interest, desire, then action. Specifications serve the action phase — they help someone who already wants the product choose the right version. Presenting specs before desire is built is like showing a restaurant menu to someone who isn't hungry.
In Your Ads
Find where you mention pricing, technical specs, or comparison details. Ask: has the viewer reached a state of desire before this point? If not, move the details later or remove them entirely. Build want first. Details serve want; they don't create it.
When This Breaks
Your ad opens with "Starting at $49/month with unlimited exports and API access." The viewer doesn't care about the price because they don't want the product yet. You answered a question they haven't asked.
Example
"Plans start at $49/month. Includes 50 scans, unlimited exports, and team collaboration." → "Watch this: [demo showing competitor ad being decoded in 8 seconds]. That's what $49/month buys you. Still want to hear about the features?"
